Dr. Sebin S Kottaram is an Internationally acclaimed Key note Speaker, Psychologist, Author and Media Expert. He has authored more than 800 articles and 35 books on positive psychology in English and Malayalam languages. He has delivered Motivational talks in many countries including USA, Germany and Malaysia. Many American Television Channels and News Papers have telecasted and published interviews with him apart from Indian media. He has been awarded PhD in Psychology from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. He has passed MSc and MPhil in Psychology and MA (Journalism and Mass Communication) from the same University. He also completed MA (English language and literature) from SB College, Changanacherry. Dr Sebin has been recently selected as the member of American Psychological Association (APA) in view of his achievements. Presently, Dr Sebin is the PhD Guide & Research Supervisor of Martin Luther Christian University.

Dr. Sebin S Kottaram, had been presented the National award for Excellence in Journalism from Dr. Hamid Ansary, Hon. Vice President of India (2013). It is the highest Journalism award in India, instituted by The Press Council of India for the empowerment of women.

Dr. Sebin was selected for the award for his article on Mrs JyothiReddy, CEO, Keys software solutions, USA, published in Malayala Manorama Daily. She was a labourer in 1989 and the inspirational article reveals, how she became the CEO of 3 USA based companies from a humble background. Dr. Sebin had been the editorial board member of Malayala Manorama daily for more than 10 years.

He was chosen by a jury chaired by Justice Markanteya Katju, Chairman, Press council of India and former justice of Supreme court of India.

He had been presented the highest civilian award for bravery “The Jeevan Raksha Padak” from the President of India in 2000 for saving the lives of two drowning youths. To recognize this act of his, the state government in Kerala, honoured him by declaring him a state guest for a week. His article on “ embryonic stem cell research” received international acclaim and he was given an international award from United States in recognition of his efforts in the year 2009. During the same year he got the Aksharam Award for excellence in Journalism and The MTVA Award. As a student, he received the State Government’s Best National Service Scheme Volunteer award in view of his humanitarian activities in the group in 1998. Dr. Sebin was among one of the Indian official delegates who visited various Media, Educational, Cultural and Health care institutions in USA in 2011. He was selected for the Professional Excellence Award instituted by the Rotary International in 2014. He is a very popular TV Show host and has been conducting Motivational Television shows in many TV Channels including Flowers TV, Kaumudhi TV, Shalom TV, Today TV, AathmeeyaYatra TV, Word to World TV etc.

The government of Kerala selected him as the External Consultant for giving Mind Power Training for the higher level officials including Special Secretaries, Additional Secretaries et al. of Kerala government Secretariat. The Employability Skill Management Training organized by Kerala Higher Education Council for the Deputy Registrars of various universities of Kerala was led by Dr. Sebin S Kottaram.

He has been a member of the advisory board of the National Service Scheme of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, and Malabar Christian College, Kozhikode.
